Humans were made to glorify God.*
Everyone who is called by My name, and whom I have created for My glory, whom I have formed, even whom I have made. (Isaiah 43:7)
Some, though, have rejected God. (Romans 1:18-32)
But some of us have repented, and have believed in Jesus Christ and the God who sent Him. We have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and now are able to glorify God.
By agreeing with God, repentance gives God glory.
My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. (Joshua 7:19)
By believing God, our faith is credited as righteousness, and saving us gives Him glory.
[For the one who] believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness. (Romans 4:3–5)
Your sins have been forgiven you for His name’s sake. (1 John 2:12)
Becoming a Christian enables – and obligates us – to give God glory.
Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
How?
The first step is to decide to live our lives for His glory.
