Where Were You?
Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? (Job 38:4)
From my previous posts, you know how distressed I have been about the unrest in this country, the riots, the violence, the destruction.
The Lord has been working on me!
Recently I read Job, and Yahweh’s 125 verse rant to Job hit home. (Job 38-41)
Where was I? Am I finding fault with the Almighty?
The Creator has made all things. Whatever is under the whole heaven is Mine. (Job 41:11)
Job repented. I know that You can do all things and that no purpose of Yours can be thwarted… I repent in dust and ashes. (Job 42:2, 6)
My lessons:
Almighty Creator God made all things and owns all things.
The Mighty One can do all things and His purpose cannot be thwarted.
The Holy One does all things righteously.
God is the Just Judge.
I can and must trust Him.
I repent.
Pray
In trust, with thanksgiving, we are to pray. We should pray for this country (See Pray for Your Country). We should pray for wisdom, for justice, for God to be glorified. We should pray that God shows us how to speak and act. Praise our Holy God.
