What is God up to?
God is sovereign over everybody and everything all the time.
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His sovereignty rules over all. (Psalm 103:19)
Our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. (Psalm 115:3)
I am the Lord, and there is no other, the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the Lord who does all these. (Isaiah 45:6–7)
God has a plan and He is working His plan
… according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11)
All God’s ways are holy
Your way, O God, is holy. (Psalm 77:13)
God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts and His ways higher than our ways
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” declares the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8–9)
God works good during everything for those called according to His plan
God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
At the end, Christ reigns. He brings His children to heaven, and He judges His enemies.
The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever. (Revelation 11:15)
What are unbelievers to do?
Repent. Believe. Turn in faith to Jesus Christ. (See Becoming the Child of God)

Trust
Praise God
