God created us. We are accountable to and dependent on Him. We are definitely human with all the gifts and frailties of humans. We are sinners, having rebelled against our Creator.
And yet.
God sent His Son to save those who repent and believe. For those who have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we are human and yet….
We are new creatures. (2 Corinithisans 5:17)
We are in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:3; and more than 100 more verses)
We have been adopted by God, are in His family, His household. (John 1:12-13; Romans 8:15-17; Ephesians 1:5)
We have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. (1 Corinthians 3:16; 2 Timothy 1:14; John 14:16-17)
We have the mind of Christ. (1 Corinthians 2:16)
We are citizens of heaven. (Philippians 3:20-21)
One day who we are will be revealed. (1 John 3:2; Colossians 3:4)
And more.
Grace
All this comes from God’s love, mercy, and grace.
We repented and turned to Jesus Christ in faith and trust. We have been forgiven by Almighty God. We are headed to glory.
Christians are human and yet.
